Yumvoy Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026

Yumvoy is an app and website that helps people find food trucks, run by Afrijamz Consult LLC, a Texas company (“Yumvoy”, “we”, “us”). We built Yumvoy to keep as little about you as possible. This policy explains what we keep, why, and for how long.

The short version

  • Customers: we keep your name and email for your account, and that is about it. Your location is never stored. Trucks never see who is coming to them, only a number. If you ask a truck to cater an event, that truck sees the name and contact details you give it.
  • Food trucks: we keep what you put in your listing so customers can find you, and Stripe handles your card.
  • We never sell your information and we do not show third-party ads.

1. If you use Yumvoy as a customer

Your account. When you make an account, we keep your name, your email address and a password (handled by Google Firebase, so we never see your password). Your name is only used inside your own account. Trucks never see it.

Your location. Yumvoy uses your phone’s location to show trucks near you and to tell when you arrive at a truck. When you search “near me”, the point you search around is sent to our server to find trucks, then forgotten. When you tap “On my way”, your rough location is checked once to make sure you are within reach of the truck. We never save your location, and the truck never sees it. If you allow it, your phone (not our server) watches for your arrival at the truck so it can end the trip by itself.

“On my way”. We keep a random ticket number, the truck, and two times. It holds no account, name or location, and it is deleted when you arrive, cancel, the truck closes, or after 60 minutes. The truck sees only how many customers are coming.

Following trucks. The list of trucks you follow is kept on your phone. Our server only keeps how many followers each truck has, not who they are. Reminders before a truck’s regular stops are set on your phone.

Recent searches. Your recent searches are kept on your phone only.

Cheers and badges. After eating at a truck, you can send it a cheer. The truck gets a number of cheers for the month, never who sent them. To allow only one cheer a day for each truck, we keep your account code with the truck for that day, and delete it the next day. Your badges (how many different trucks you have visited) are counted on your phone only.

Catering requests. If you ask a truck to cater an event, we keep what you type in the request (the date, time, place, number of people, budget, your note, and the name, phone and email you give) and send it to that truck only, so it can get back to you. We also keep your account code with the request to stop spam. The request is deleted 30 days after the event, and never kept longer than 120 days. Once the truck has your contact details, how it uses them is up to the truck.

Reports. If you report a truck, we keep the truck, the reason and what you wrote, but not who sent it.

Spam protection. To stop abuse, we count how many times an account taps “On my way”, follows or reports each day (deleted the next day), and keep a scrambled code of your network address with a tap count (deleted after 24 hours). We never keep the address itself.

2. If you list a food truck

Your listing. We keep what you enter so customers can find you: your own name (as the owner or manager), truck name, foods, diet and payment choices, search words, menu, photos, Featured ad, home zip code (and its city and state), hours, regular stops (place name, address, map point, day and time), business email and phone, and when you agreed to the terms. Your truck name, foods, menu, photos, hours, stops and city are public in the app. Your own name is not public: only Yumvoy sees it.

Your truck’s location. When you switch your sign to Open, your phone’s location becomes your truck’s pin, so customers can find you. The pin is removed when you close.

Your truck page. Each truck has a public web page at yumvoy.com/t/ with its name, foods, menu, photos, ad, city, regular stops, open or closed status, cheers and any Fan Favorite award, so it can be shared on social media.

Order ahead link. If you add the link to your own ordering page (like Square or Toast), it is public in the app and on your truck page. Orders placed there are between you, the customer and that ordering service.

Catering requests you receive. You get the contact details customers choose to give you in a catering request. Use them only to answer that request.

Referrals. If you type another truck’s code when you sign up, we keep which truck told you about Yumvoy, so we can give that truck a free month after your first payment. The other truck is not shown your details.

Payments. Stripe processes your payments and keeps your card. Yumvoy never sees your full card number. We keep your Stripe customer number, plan and payment status, and Stripe’s card fingerprint (a code that recognizes the same card, not the card number) so each card gets only one free month.

Alerts. We keep your phone’s notification token so we can tell you when customers are on the way.

3. Services we use

These companies process information for us, only to run Yumvoy:

  • Google Firebase: sign in, push alerts, and checking that requests come from the real app.
  • Supabase: our database and server. Its request logs keep network addresses for about 1 day.
  • Stripe: vendor payments.
  • OpenFreeMap: the map pictures. Your phone asks it for the part of the map you are looking at.
  • OpenStreetMap Nominatim: only when you type a street address to search, that address is sent to find it on the map. Cities and zip codes are looked up inside the app.
  • Our website host: yumvoy.com, which the app reads its settings from.

Each has its own privacy policy. We do not allow them to use your information for their own ads.

4. What we never do

  • We never sell or rent your information.
  • We never show third-party ads or use ad tracking.
  • We never store customers’ locations, or which customer went to which truck.

5. How long we keep it

  • Customer accounts (name and email): until you delete your account.
  • Truck listings, menus, stops and photos: until the vendor deletes the account or we remove the truck.
  • “On my way” tickets: deleted within 60 minutes at most.
  • Catering requests: deleted 30 days after the event, and never kept longer than 120 days.
  • Daily counts for spam protection, and the one-cheer-a-day check: deleted the next day.
  • Monthly cheer counts for each truck: kept with the truck’s listing.
  • Card fingerprints for the free month rule: kept, so the rule keeps working.
  • Payment records: kept by Stripe as the law requires.

6. Your choices

  • Location: you can turn off location for Yumvoy in your phone’s settings. You can still search by city or zip code.
  • Notifications: you can turn them off in your phone’s settings or unfollow a truck.
  • Delete your account: in the app, tap the Account tab, tap your email at the top, then Delete my account. Vendors must cancel their plan first. This removes your account, your truck listing, menu, stops and photos.
  • Questions or requests: contact us (below) to ask what we keep about you or to have it deleted.

7. Children

Yumvoy is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections, keep our server keys private, and limit who on our team can see information. No system is perfect, but we keep as little as possible so there is little to lose.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in an important way, we will tell users in the app or by email before it applies.
